I started writing about Marie Curie and ended up writing about formal poetry. I’m still not sure how that happened. But that process is how I know that I’m really writing. I’m going into new territory. I never intended to write about formal poetry, but it made sense at the time. Surprise the reader, surprise yourself.
Where do you go?
(and here is the song for the title)
Around the Mulberry Bush.
Seriously.
That’s the thing I love most about writing, above all else, making those unlikely connections. The real fun of it all.
I started my just-finished paper in microbiology and ended up in Hemingway. How’s that? It was a bit of a surprise, but I am leaving it this way. i don’t know what my publishers will think, but hey…
I don’t care what your publishers think, that’s a great transition!
